Counseling & Psychological Services (Conant House) X7385
Offers consultation, short-term psychotherapy, Healthy Body Perception Training for Women (8 session PE class), and the WISE (Women, Body Image, and Self-Esteem) therapy group to students. Contact Rose Novak to schedule an appointment, or Andrea Bross for questions.
Student Health Center X7750
Offers medical evaluations, consultation, and ongoing medical care for women and men with eating concerns. Call 7750 to schedule an appointment for a consultation or evaluation. Contact Dr. Miller or Tina Young for questions.
Consultation and Nutritional Counseling
We strive to provide nutritional counseling that meets the needs of women and men with eating concerns. Please contact Student Health Services or Counseling & Psychological Services for referrals to a dietician.
CARES (Colgate Advocates of Responsible Eating Styles)
Campus wide, multidisciplinary group addressing eating and body image concerns on campus. The group focuses on the prevention of eating disorders as well as raising awareness of these issues on campus. CARES presents the “Love Your Body Series” which is a series of programming events focused on eating or body image issues. Contact Andrea Bross (7385) or Tina Young (7750) for more information.
BIN (Body Image Network)
Student peer education group dedicated to raising awareness about eating and body image issues at Colgate. BIN provides dorm programming and brown bag programs on topics such as “How to Help a Friend”, and the media impact on women’s body image.
