F. Heimann

Fritz
F. Heimann has been a lawyer with General Electric
for over forty years. He served as Associate General
Counsel from 1975 until 1995 and is now Counselor to
the General Counsel. He is one of the founders of
Transparency International and is also the Chairman
of TI-USA.
Mr.
Heimann chairs the Working Group on Bribery and
Corruption of the U.S. Council for International
Business and is a member of the International
Chamber of Commerce Committee on Extortion and
Bribery. He has been actively involved in the work
on the OECD Convention on Combating Bribery of
Foreign Public Officials and on the ICC's Rules of
Conduct to Combat Extortion and Bribery. He is
the author of "Combating International
Corruption: The Role of the Business
Community," included in "Corruption and
the World Economy," Institute for International
Economics, June 1997.
