Diamond
Dr.
Jared Diamond is universally regarded as one of the
great minds of our time. Recipient of the MacArthur
Foundation genius grant and a professor at UCLA, he
is the author of the Pulitzer Prize winning Guns,
Germs, and Steel, The Third Chimpanzee and Why is
Sex Fun? He began his scientific career in
physiology and expanded into evolutionary biology
and biogeography. He has been elected to the
American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the National
Acadamy of Sciences and the American Philosophical
Society. He has published over 200 articles in
Discover, Natural History, Nature, and Geo
magazines.
