Jennifer Whiting

I received my B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College (1978) and my Ph.D. from Cornell (1984). I then taught at Harvard University and the University of Pittsburgh, before returning to Cornell. I have published mostly on Aristotle and on Personal Identity (especially issues at the intersection of Mind, Metaphysics, and Ethics). I co-edited (with Stephen Engstrom) ARISTOTLE, KANT, AND THE STOICS: RETHINKING HAPPINESS AND DUTY. And I co-directed (with psychologist Louis Sass) an NEH Summer Institute on Mind, Self, and Psychopathology in the summer of 1998. I often teach feminist philosophy.
