Under the guidance
of our friend and advisor, Lynn Waldman, a group of Colgate Life Long
Learners got together with the Colgate Bookstore, the Hamilton Public
Library & the Barge Canal Coffee House and the "Life Long Readers Book
Club" was born.
Our mission was to come up with guidelines for a book
club to be sponsored by Colgate’s Life Long Learners, Colgate Bookstore,
Colgate Library, Hamilton Public Library, Hamilton Central School and the
Barge Canal Coffee House. The goal of the project was to bridge the gap
between the town and University in order to attract a diverse group that
includes men and women in age groups ranging from high school students to
senior citizens. This project was inspired by The Upstate Institute.
