About the Team

The 2006 Eastern Collegiate Cycling Conference* (ECCC) Spring Road Racing Season marked the inaugural season for the Colgate University Cycling Team. The road schedule was comprised of nine consecutive weekends of racing starting the first weekend in March and ending the last weekend in April. Most of these weekends consisted of an individual or team time trial, road race, and a criterium stretched across Saturday and Sunday.

The 2006 Season also saw the Colgate Cycling Team host the 1st Annual Colgate Fall Classic in Hamilton, NY. It was a resounding success and we have plans to make it bigger and better at the 2nd Annual Colgate Fall Classic in late September 2007. More information will be forthcoming.

Additionally, the 2006 Colgate Fall Classic was the unveiling of our new cycling kit, which is available for purchase.

And lastly, financial and in-kind support from individual donors and sponsors has allowed Colgate Cycling to get off the ground and keep running.

The Colgate Cycling Team would like to take a moment to thank the following sponsors who have helped make this past season and future seasons possible: Adventure Bikes and Boards, Mezza Luna, Roger’s, New York Pizzeria (“Slice’s”), and Combustion Science and Engineering. Come this fall, their logos will be seen on the new team kit. Additionally, the Colgate Cycling Team would like to acknowledge the support and assistance of Roxanne Benson and Janet Little in Recreational Sports, our faculty advisor Erik Moore, our spinning instructor (and so much more) Deb Bordelon, Karl Clauss, and especially Randy Adam.
