Started in the Fall of 2001, the Dischords was formed as an alternative to the Colgate University a cappella scene. This co-ed group embodies a youthful energy whose members simply adore singing. All of the Dischords have a direct affiliation to Colgate's Music Department which is a very unique feature in comparison to other collegiate a cappella groups. With a dynamic energy, the Dischords love connecting with an audience through such diverse songs as Lifehouse's "Everything", the Bible hymn "Mary Wore Three Links of Chain", and Dido's "Here with Me."  We love performing, and would be more than willing to showcase our repertoire to anyone! Distance is no object, because as clearly stated, we simply love to sing!
