Guidelines

Here are some basic guidelines for enjoyment of the Green Bikes program

1. Ride any Green Bike found on bike rack on campus or downtown.

2. Please lock the bike back to a rack when done using it.

3. Please wear a helmet while riding a Green Bike, helmets can be purchased at Adventure Bikes & Boards for a reasonable price.

4. Make sure to ride the bikes up the hill as well as down.

5. Do NOT ride the bike while intoxicated. Walking or taking the cruiser is still the better option.

6. Lost keys may be replaced for $10.

7. If a bike is in need of maintenance, no matter how minor, please bring it to Adventure B&B; or notify Green Bikes.

8. Please take care of these bikes as if they are your own prized possession while recognizing that they are a community resource.

9. You may not store any of these bikes on personal property, in your dorm or attempt to claim a bike entirely for yourself. These are community bikes meant to be shared!

10. You must lock the bikes when you are not riding them. Please lock them to a bike rack through the front wheel and the frame of the bike. The locks can be wrapped around the top-tube or the seat-tube for riding.
