Assign each potential stride a feasibility level: GREEN, YELLOW, RED
To determine the feasibility level that you will assign:
1) Think broadly of feasibility in terms of the following:
- How “do-able” is this initiative?
- How easy will it be to implement?
- What "road blocks” stand in the way of implementation?
2) Assess the potential stride in these three areas:
Campus Culture
- Current level of support or potential “buy in”/receptivity from community
(students, staff, administrators, faculty)
Operations/Oversight
- Amount of work and time required for implementation
Cost/Funding
- Estimated cost of implementation
- Type (e.g. grant, budget) and availability of funding
IMPORTANCE Factors
1) Think broadly of importance in terms of the following:
To what extent would the University by proud to celebrate this initiative as a
Green Stride?
What is the magnitude of the initiative?
2) Assess the potential stride in these three areas:
Environmental Impact Reduction
- To what extent will it reduce environmental impact?
Scope
- How many people will be influenced?
Financial Savings
- In the long-term, how much money will it save?
