The Iota Chapter of Theta Chi has been a model of excellence here at Colgate University since its establishment in 1912. The Theta Chi fraternity proudly promotes and upholds standards of academic excellence, philanthropy, athletics and other extracurricular endeavors. The 68 Brothers of Theta Chi are proud of our diverse interests, leadership positions, athletic achievements and general student involvement. In addition to our excellent standing with the University, we are proud of both our academics and athletics. In Spring 2009, we received awards for the Most Outstanding Scholarship Program, Most Outstanding President (Greg Pearson), Most Outstanding Contributing Member to Greek Life, and Most Outstanding Chapter of all Colgate Fraternities and Sororities at Colgate University. Our house is committed to aiding the surrounding area through charitable events and fund raisers, including our annual Slices Pizza Eating Contest and Pancake Breakfast.
Our brotherhood remains dedicated to the betterment of the Colgate community. Our brothers include those involved in student government, the Maroon-News, numerous a capella groups, varsity and club sports, the Colgate Activities Board (CAB), WRCU, the Link program, the Office of Admissions, Career Services, Konosioni (Colgate University's Honor Society), and much more.
Located at 52 Broad Street, Theta Chi is the closest fraternity to Hamilton's downtown area. We boast well-maintained living areas, large rooms, and newly furnished bathrooms and common areas. Our Chef, Gerry Nash, and kitchen are among the best at Colgate.
