The Course English 360, Living Writers, has received national attention for its innovative approach to the teaching of contemporary literature. The popular course is team-taught by the instructor, the award-winning novelist Frederick Busch, and the authors of the books studied, who come to campus to read from their work and to answer questions prepared in advance by the students.   | "Living Writers Wired" is an extension of Professor Fred Busch's longstanding Living Writers Course from the Colgate campus in Central New York to a broader audience of alumni, prospective students, and friends of the University. (Click here for a detailed listing of this semester's authors and their books.) Click on a title below for more information Professor Busch will be bringing an author to Colgate every week, during the fall semester, for student interviews and readings. Each of the interviews and readings will be taped and made available in both audio and video format over the web. If you will be accessing the media with a standard telephone modem, we recommend that you listen to the audio. The video should only be viewed if using a very fast Internet connection. Pose your questions or weigh in with your opinion on one of the month's books chosen by Professor Busch. He will be conducting three live chat sessions about books you’ve read while the on-campus class studied them. You can get a copy of any of the books featured in the Living Writers Series at a discounted price by ordering on-line.
