04/22/06:  Rocket Day was AWESOME! There's new pictures so check them out, and soon video to come! There's also pictures from April Visit Days and Trebuchet Day, which was fun, but considerably colder that Rocket Day! :)

Physics Weekend was a HUGE success! Thanks to everyone that came out to Rocket Day, Pub and Trebuchet Day!  Look our for more events next semester!!

04/05/06: The second Sigma Pi Sigma ceremony was held at yesterday at the Colgate Inn on April 5th, and seventeen members were inductucted; 16 from the junior class (2007) and one alumnus. See the pictures below!!

10/28/05: Over the summer, members of the Colgate Physics Club doing summer research here at Colgate raised money to help out a NPO started by a Colgate physics alum in Kenya (One Heart With Africa). We got our university to donate a laptop to our cause, and raised the money to mail the laptop to Kenya by selling helium  balloons in our town's weekly Farmer's Market (see pictures).

Today we received news, after having mailed the laptop out a few weeks ago, that it had arrived in Kenya! Professor Vic Mansfield also sent a laptop out after having heard of our efforts, and that too has arrived!

Having saved money on postage thanks to Diane's excellent suggestion, we are going to donate the surplus directly to the foundation!
