» History

The Resolutions are Colgate University’s original co-ed a cappella group. Founded in 1992 during Spring Party Weekend by Jason Corrigan, Marisa Bond, and Mark Gironda, the Resolutions celebrated their 16th anniversary this past spring. The group’s repertoire spans a variety of American genres, ranging from current popular music to classic a cappella arrangements. Each semester, the group performs numerous concerts on Colgate’s campus as well as in and around the Hamilton community, whether at sporting events, freshman orientation, the annual lighting of the Christmas tree on Hamilton’s green, performing at Parents’ Weekend, or concerts at The Barge. In addition, The Resolutions have traveled extensively, with performances in Colorado, Minnesota, New York City, Boston, and Canada, to name a few. To date, the group has released 6 studio albums, and has accrued an alumni network of over 100 members.
