In the 2007-08 Season, under the leadership of Head Coach, Scott Wiley, Colgate Women's Hockey and the ECAC Women's Hockey League combined for the "Pink at The Rink" Promotion. All teams in the ECAC league played a home league weekend in the pink uniforms and then auctioned the Jerseys online to the highest bidder. Further, many teams also raised money by selling bracelets, t-shirts and collecting donations on campus. Colgate alone raised over $16,000.00 that weekend, with the league presenting a check to the American Cancer Society of over $41,000.00.

To begin the 2008-09 Season, Colgate challenged Cornell, raising money for "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer." A 3-mile walk for cancer research and breast cancer testing and awareness. In just 10 days, the Colgate team raised over $6,000.00, winning the challenge against Cornell. Members of both teams and coaching staffs walked together in Binghamton, NY on October 5th, 2008.
